Dura Glue

The tissue adhesive Histoacryl consists of monomeric n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate, which polymerises quickly in connection with tissue fluid.

In neurosurgical and spine procedures, closure of the dura is very important in preventing leakage of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). The suture technique is very difficult to perform. Hence, the Histoacryl Sealant is used to effectively achieve reinforcement of the Dura.
