The shunting system are designed to reduce the intracranial pressure to a safe limit by draining excess CSF (Cerebrospinal Fluid) to other part of the body or into the drainage bag

The Shunts are designed into 2 versions

1. Non Antibiotic Impregnated Shunt
2. Antibiotic Impregnated Shunt

The Antibiotic Impregnated shunts have impregnated catheters that will help reduce colonization of gram-positive bacteria on the tubing surface

Antibiotic Impregnated Ventricular Catheter

The Ventricular Catheter are Antibiotic and Barium Impregnated to help reduce colonization of gram-positive bacteria on the tubing surface
